Land of the Rising Sun

Beautiful is the word I would use to describe Hokkaido. The Sceneries are absolutely stunning! STUNNING!!STUNNING!!! Can you imagine the pure mountain air heavy with fog , heavy snow powdery covering the fields and buildings of an amazing nation. I had high feelings with so many positive emotions during the trip. As the pilot started to give an announcement for safe landing and the plane descended on Chitose Airport on an extremely cold and dark afternoon, I began to feel a sense of achievement. Come on,It’s Hokkaido! Since the 311 tsunami occurred in Sendai and Fukushima the prices of tour packages had been lowered and my parents thought that this would be an opportunity to bring the entire family here. The trip covers places such as Otaru, Noboribetsu, Sapporo City and some other places but i can’t remember. It was in total a 6 day trip and I was able to feel what’s it like to be in Japan and of course the beautiful snow. Apparently, a lot of them live a stressful life and have to rely on 3-4 generations to pay off their housing loan debt! However, Japanese are generally very polite and kind people. They have good moral and mostly because they were instilled to have good moral since they were young. Hokkaido is in the northen part of Japan and exports high amount of top quality seafood so obviously, I was privileged to eat all of them. Kidding! It was the only nasty weather of the whole trip, snowing and windy. The ice was still spectacular though. Apart from that, i finally had the guts to run naked infront of many people because their hot springs are like the best all across the world with high amounts of sulphur which is somehow good for health. So it was definitely worth stripping. It was quite challenging when u’re doing it outdoors cause you have to adapt to the sudden change of weather. Just try to picture yourself running out of your house naked when it’s -6 degrees outside .I soon became an onsen addict.Usually when the snow is heavy and the sky is dark, u’ll feel a a bit depressed but it certainly wasn’t the case here.Although Hokkaido was freezing cold, the sun was shining really brightly. As you know,Japan is known as the country of the rising sun. So i wasn’t depressed at all.I walked around Sapporo city and realised just how systematic they are in terms of planning a city, underground trains, safety measures and all that stuff.Hokkaido has the best quality for skiing that attracts skiers from all over the world. Travelling is not merely about playing but it’s also about education.I learnt how put on and take off the skiing equipments and skied like an idiot. It was difficult to even take a picture because it was cold and our gloves were just annoying as hell.As far as i could remember,I lied and said i was a year older to be 18 to experience snow mobile.Felt a lil bit like James Bond. Never estimate young people,i completed the entire journey without getting anyone hurt! Although my finger hurt just a little.I also enjoyed the breathtaking scenery along the ravines.I was so happy.Seafood here is amazing,Ice-creams are amazing here, scenery is amazing, the girls here are AMAZING TOO!!!I saw this stunning cute girl with her mum and little sister returning from a Japanese temple and became moody the whole day.All i could remember is that her mum drives a blue car! Well, girls come and go but PIZZA IS FOREVER!

1911

Chinese government paying respect to Sun
Xinhai Revolution
So i just came back from the cinema watching jackie chan's 100th movie and is having the 'kick' to write about the chinese revolution. There's not even a slightest doubt that China's few thousand years of history is one of the best throughout the whole world. One of favourites is the 1911 Revolution. The reason that triggered the revolution was largely due to a corrupted Qing government, and the fact that the Han Chinese (which comprised 90% of the population) where resentful towards a government dominated by the Manchus (who were an ethnic minority). Besides that, the people were extremely pissed off and frustrated with the government's incapablitiy to stand up and restrain the interventions of Japan particularly the Westerners. The Qing government was borrowing a substantial amount of money from banks in Europe at the people's expense.Worse still, they are using the money againts them.Qing government bought weapons using taxpayers payer money and fought against the rebels that were led by revolutionaries.A large increase in population, people paying high taxes to powerful dictators, people out of work, a country totally out of touch, lots of torturing and depression and most of all, a nation living under a greedy dictator. This civil unrest, encouraged by the revolutionary and political ideas of Sun Yat-sen, who was apparently a chinese doctor, led to a desire to abolish the Qing dynasty and form a republic. In a republic government, there will not be any kings or emperors, and the country will be led by a president together with his ministers in cabinet.Singapore, France , Russia etc are examples of republic country presently.Do you believe that there is democracy in royalties?

The Sickle and The Hammer - The good guys or bad guys?

From Left : Karl Marx , Vladimir Lenin, Mao Zedong

I could recall the days when i was in Vietnam for a holiday trip. The holiday was however only in the northern part of the country. It was Hanoi, the region that was supported by China politically and militarily in the unforgettable vietnam war.It was a war in the 70's that caused tens of thousands of people to die, many people to be wounded and many people to lose their close families, neighbors and friends. And automatically when you think of Hanoi, you tend to think about Ho Chi Minh too.A monument to Ho Chin Minh was erected in Hanoi. He is still remembered well and his stories and ideologies are still taught in history books today. Also,he earned respect of the vietnamese people. He declared independence for Vietnam in 2nd of September,1945 and ultimately became the president of north vietnam. He was a communist leader, followed and given much support by many of his followers.Being so young,i didn't know what communism was all about. The only thing that caught my attention was the sickle and the hammer. But people are taught to hate it.

I've always questioned myself whether a government that practices communism would eventually work out and be successful. If it was a great idea, why would people want to escape from their country? People are getting in boats and risking their lives to escape Cuba can be an example. The idea is great but people are just not ready for it.Communism isnt bad though it sounds bad,it is just a political system. No one knows because communism has never been realized on this earth. It may have been tried, but it's failure was caused by ignoring certain economic principles that Karl Marx stated were necessary prior to the creation of communism; namely, there must be a capitalist foundation and socialist institutions in place prior to communism. It is unfortunate that none of those countries claiming to be communist have had both and most have had neither.

Communism is not where there's a leader or a dictator.A dictator is definitely impossible to be related to communist. Communism is about zero government. The moment you add government, it's not longer communist. Countries such as North Korea are not even communistic. If you break down what they're doing piece by piece, they are not communist. Moreover, You do get the chance to choose your future in a communist society. You do get things like human rights, way more than you would ever get in a capitalist society. You do get free speech, way more than you would ever get in a capitalist society.Look at Egypt ,they're not even communist. But their people are killed mercilessly just merely because of freedom of speech and peaceful demonstration.

Communism as an idea is supposed to allow everyone to have what they need to survive regardless of the work they do.Plus, no one can become filthy rich because, ideally, wealth is spread evenly to the people. The positives of that is that people who are too old, too young, or too sick to work will not go without. The negatives of that system is that some people will take advantage of the system and not work although they are able to work and just live off the basics the government provides. A lot of people think this system is bad because they don't want their wealth spread around, they believe they deserve and have earned luxury.People like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet will never appear in communist countries.

Above all, communism isn't a good nor a bad thing. It depends on how you look at it.We will never be able to understand it.

Say Goodbye to AAA Rating

This is one of the worst days in American history. Unfortunately America has lost it's AAA rating from Standard & Poor's. FIRST TIME IN HISTORY! Does this crisis make them another Greece? The world is undergoing a crisis in how we run our nations.Spending is totally out of control, and neither party in Washington DC is willing to do anything to change that reality. It isn't just all about stuff like debts and economies but also it is about corruption, and identity. What we face is a crisis in effective leadership. And it's happening world-wide.Places such as China, Japan and Europe, the United States ( which is happening on a large scale ), and it's also happening on a smaller scale in dozens of other nations.Recently, China bluntly criticized the United States after the superpower's credit rating was downgraded, saying that the "good old days" of borrowing are over.American politicians should really wake up, especially for the current US secretary of treasury, who have been telling lies all the way through.

Sorrow and Solidarity in Norway

Norway, a country part of Europe, is known as one of the calmest and peaceful nations, whose people are also quite nice and life in the country. I was shocked when i heard a shooting spree occurred in Oslo, which is apparently the capital of Norway. It is also very disturbing that the violence in the shape of mercilessly killing 80+ people in twin attacks in Oslo and outside shows a new face of terrorism. The bomb blasts in Oslo in prime minister's office was something hard to believe and many people across the world rubbed their eyes in utter disbelief. What an awful, horrific, cowardly crime. The Norwegians are such lovely people and they simply did not deserve this.Well, no one does.

I think the government should be responsible for this and for the rest of their crimes of treason, the sick maniac that killed them is just a symptom of the problem. No matter what the grief this person or group who perpetrated this heinous attack may have, there is absolutely NO justification for them to carry out this homicidal terrorist attack. But who would have expected this horrific incident to happen anyway. It's very sad.

R.I.P to all the Norwegian victims of these horrendous attacks. My thoughts are with the wounded and those who have lost friends and family, and I know everyone in the world will feel the same. God bless Norway and its people.

Debits and Credits

There is a huge misconception about accountants.People say accounting is all about debits and credits. And they all seem to have the same stereotype.Square faces, square glasses and most of them are calculative bean counters. They think wrong. It is definitely more than that! Don't let people tell you accounting is boring. You have to decide what you find to be boring in life for yourself. You can mention almost any job and somebody will tell you it's boring. Work hard, Play hard.Oh wait, there's no such thing as study hard, play hard. There's only study hard study hard either that or play hard play hard.

My Parents said Nunu to report card day

Today i asked my dad whether he's going to my school for report card day but he gave me the most outstanding respond a parent could give in the whole world. He told me to tell my teachers that my parents don't give a shit about me and don't bother about my results at all. Also he asked me to see their reaction. Is this a result of lack of love?Did I do enough work to get good grades? Nununu.I seriously need to put more effort on my maths and accounting. I know my teacher said I was doing fine, but maybe she was kidding. She kept asking me to do mind-mapping and stuff. It gets irritating sometimes but i love her too much.I got first place anyway so its all cool, its all cool......

Fear Not!

David taking down Goliath
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ - Isaiah 41:10

你不要害怕,因为我与你同在;不要惊惶,因为我是你的神。我必坚固你,我必帮助你;我必用我公义的右手扶持你。-以 賽 亞 書 41:10

People say that in life you must overcome many obstacles. Sometimes you might feel that you had completed something, but in reality you really didn’t. You may have completed many things, but in the end you completed nothing. In order to become successful in life you have to do many things. You might think you did a whole lot, but the road to success is always under construction. You can’t always predict what going to happen next, or what are you going to do next. In life many things change. Life is very unpredictable. The road of success is always under construction. You are the only one that controls your own journey of success. Learn from mistakes; try not to hurt someone, or even yourself. This will be your journey.

Happy Father's Day

So today we had a special celebration for father's day at my church. My church had an all church lunch for all the fathers. The best part was when all the woman were cooking and serving. We felt like kings , Haha. We honored our fathers who have the most kids, grand kids, the oldest dad and the youngest dad.My church had different kinds of  performances specially for the dads and it was simply incredible.Soon later, the speaker began to point out these things one by one, and of course the main topic was all about parenting, family responsibilities and how we should honor our parents.Hopefully i will excel all of it both in theory and practical.Father, Thank you for what you've done for us.

Governments should work on the national interest

YES.The government should serve the people.Technically, the politicians are your representative to represent you in a government. However, the politicians no longer represent you in today's climate. They are beholden to special interest groups who give a considerable amount of donations, help re-elect the politician and of course corruption.I believe in responsibility, and that is doing the right thing even if it’s the difficult thing. To draw a conclusion, the government should be passionate about building a bigger society or else the people will suffer horribly. If we want a better country and a stronger society, we must all play our part. The people must learn to move forward with confidence because confidence in our values and our ideas ; and confidence that the government will be with us.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. - Corinthians 5:7

I'm glad the holiday is coming to an end now. It's been quite a fruitful and life-changing one and it is something I'm grateful for.Admittedly, my church isnt one of those churches that are colossal and financially fit or if i might say , RICH.However, we successfully organized a church camp to MORIB beginning from 2nd of JUN-5th of JUN.So the camp came and went with tons of joy and happiness.Everyone was giddy including my parents with excitement of new bonds and strengthened friendships, of God's loving encouragements. There are a few special things that I want to share too. I want to tell you so eagerly how much I felt God's presence and love there. That strong wind that blew on the second morning , when we woke up before the dawn broke for some morning exercises and prayers. I knew our prayers for a safety camp was answered there and then. I knew that He was saying He was there in our midst as we seek Him, strong and mighty like the wind in the morning, quiet and tranquil just like the sea breeze in the evening.I can honestly say that kampung is real place where you can feel nature!I still can recall my mum telling me how beautiful the sky was in kampung areas compared to city areas and also how much she enjoyed nature back in her childhood. The quote that is still running on my mind is ''You see,I told you THE NIGHT IS USUALLY BRIGHTER IN CITY AREAS AND U CAN BARELY SEE ANY STARS''.Moreover, i have learned to raise children to love Christ. I will always want my kids to grow up in a Christ centered family and have the love of not two but three parents. It is my greatest wish that they will grow up to be good people that has love, compassion and kindness for others.I'm delighted that i had the privilege to play and educate the kids because i've always liked kids especially their engaging smiles! It's satisfying when u realized how they used to treat you like a monster and now you're spending a good time with them.I would also like to thank all the people in charge for letting every single member including the youngs and olds to take part in most of the activities.I want to make sure that i look after the elderly, the frail and the poorest in our society. In fact most importantly, I should completely thankful, because truly God is good.

De-Crab, Crab, and Sideslip!

The aircraft was on a slight left bank still when the gust hit.
Recently i got caught up watching compilations of crosswind landings on the internet. The skill of professional pilots just blows me away.I have so much respect for them! However, it would be more breathtaking if i could see these landings live. That's if no people dies of course!

Many pilots, unfortunately, are simply unable to fly as often as they wish. And they elect not to fly in crosswinds, which could test their ability to handle them. It’s no wonder our crosswind ability is often one of our first pilot skills to get rusty, making it a major cause of flying accidents.

世上只有媽媽好

Pergamon , Turkey 2009

Osama Bin Laden - World's most wanted terrorist TERMINATED

Devastation of the 911 Attacks.

Obama announcing Osama 's death
HOOOOOOOORAAAAAYYYY!!!. I'm happy Bin Laden is finally dead, and hopefully this will be the beginning of the end for Al-Qaeda. They are radicals , extremists and do not represent the actual Muslims & Islam in any way. They are all screwed up in the head.I was still skeptical about his death even after Obama's announcement when i traveled to some rural kampung so i delayed the blogging. You must know these people are full of uncertainty and DEADLY.But one thing for sure, Osama is highly skilled at hiding.

Let us refrain of name calling & from lowering ourselves to extremists’ level no matter what religion, culture, political or racial slogans they hide behind. We must know our own roles.Democracy is coming slowly but surely to the Middle East. We all need to remember that Democracy is a state of mind, an idea and it does take time to mature & prosper. The roots of Democracy have been planted in the Middle East, and people are rejecting Al-Qaeda & extremist ideology. In time, we will have Democracy & Freedom in the Middle East & that does include women right.Just give it sometime just like a seed, it will break through the soil; grow some leaves that soak in the sun, and bloom into flowers covering the fields.

Respect is earned, not given.Treat others as you want them to treat you. What comes around goes around.Bin Laden earned none, and should have been given the same.Perhaps dying with a bullet in his head was too easy because it was indeed very dreadful for the people who knew they were going to die on the top floors of the World Trade Center. It's just hard to conceive a massive airplane approaching a tall building and everything was only in the matter of seconds. He should slapped in the face, tied up, stripped and be blasted off with a bazooka rocket like BOOM.

Well done soldiers! But there are many more out there that need to be terminated.

War In Libya - Can This Action Be Justified?

US President Barack Obama defending Libya intervention.

British Prime Minister David Cameron claiming that attacks on Libya are necessary, right and legal.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy stands at the fore of a coalition of the willing battling Muammar Qadhafi in Libya.

There was a time when the whole world was praying for the nuclear crisis to end. However, still the United States is talking about destroying oil refineries. Aren't they concerned and aware about what they are doing to the environment? The catastrophic disaster that happened in Japan was uncontrollable but why a war now?CNN was all about japan and all of a sudden the Libya war just caught my attention. The US is not out of Afghanistan or Iraq yet as promised and Gitmo is still open. Now another war?

In a joint statement to Gadhafi , the United States, Britain and France - backed by unspecified Arab countries - called on Gadhafi to end his troops advance toward Benghazi and pull them out of the cities of Misrata, Ajdabiya and Zawiya. It also called for the restoration of water, electricity and gas services in all areas. It said Libyans must be able to receive humanitarian aid or the "international community will make him suffer the consequences" with military action. These main countries of the coalition forces also agreed that they will not stand aside while the dictator Muammar Gadhafi murders his own people.

There is something that people living in democractic countries need to acquire."Human Rights" & "Democracy" are not covers for imperialism. This is another idiotic act after Iraq. They spent quite a considerable amount for the numerous attacks. A complete naked and undisguised invasion of another sovereign nation. Also, The U.S. as part of the UN has stepped in as its duty to help the oppressed people. The U.S. and UN do not agree with the actions by the Libyan government, so they have stepped in to stop the harsh military oppression of the people.Needless to say , US isnt doing it alone. They formed coalition forces with France, Italy, Britain, Denmark. Many nations are trying to stop Qaddafi from randomly killing his own innocent civilians. The mission has two goals : to prevent further attacks by Libyan forces on rebels and civilians, and degrade the Libyan military's ability to contest a no-fly zone.It is increasingly evident that the port city 150 miles east of Tripoli is the crucial battlefield. Its proximity to the capital means the rebels could use it as a launch pad for an offensive.Col Gaddafi's forces have stepped up their offensive on Libya's third largest city with a population of 300,000 as they recognise its strategic importance.n response Western air strikes hit armour on the outskirts of the rebel-held area but tanks inside the city remain there and have not been hit. Chinese President Hu Jintao admonished French President Nicolas Sarkozy over the Western bombing campaign in Libya , saying that the coalition forces will not resolve the conflict in the North African country.Thank God my country does not have any involvement with Libya war.

The people in Libya are under massive oppression by the government. As i said on the previous post., one of the obstacles that hinders the growth of middle east countries is their political leaders. It's fairly obvious that the people are sick of the oppression by the autocratic government led by Maummar Gadhafi. Ghadafi (Libya's leader) is threatening his own people. He has even used citizens as human shields to protect himself from rebels. The people have revolted against the government wanting Democracy. The government responded to this with harsh military action and no positive talks with the people on peace, or consensus.Apparently , there is also a growing unrest in places like Syria , Yemen and Egypt. As unrest, which began in Tunisia and spread to Egypt, now spills over into other Middle East nations, much of the attention has been on oil and whether the flow of crude will be disrupted. But the Middle East faces a bigger problem and one that will have long-term implications on its stability. In this region, water is more valuable than oil.The scarcity of water is an even bigger issue in Yemen, a country with few energy resources compared to its oil-rich neighbor Saudi Arabia.Water, not oil, will be and already is the main source of regional geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. For example, Jordan, Israel and Palestine; Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Bahrain and Jordan; as well as Turkey and Syria have wrestled for control of water resources.Problems in the Middle East are generally caused because of tensions over US involvement, Israel and Palestine, and terrorist/freedom fighters.here is resentment in Middle Eastern countries due to their views of America as a bullying and hypocritical country who invaded parts of the Middle East for oil. In addition, there is resentment over how America had previously supported extremists and dictators such as Osama bin Laden, and Saddam Hussein.Rebel forces fighting Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi are requesting arms supplies from the US.But they have less need for sophisticated and high technology weapons than they do for help with training and organization.I'm sceptical that NATO or the U.S. would actually bomb the rebels if they attacked civilians. But if this really is the policy, and if one follows it to its logical conclusion, could there be a situation in which we're bombing rebels who are wielding weapons we gave them?It would be a great joke if US passes their weapons to their wrong hands again.Recently , attacks by coalition forces against Libya have increasingly raged. A number of attacks with heavy artillery being waged have threatened the safety of civilians.A Libyan official pro-Gaddafi said the attack by coalition forces do not just hit the naval base, but air strikes and even then grind the fishing village that was nearby and not far from Tripoli.Heavy casualties were also inflicted by the attacks , what a shame! If Barack Obama’s aim is to conduct limited wars, he’s not doing it very well. And he’s certainly not coming clean to the public about what he’s doing.

The reputation of the US has not been good in the Middle East and Africa. I think it is time for the US to follow the lead of others who are reasonable instead of beating its own heroic drum again. After all, the US economy is very bad currently. Should the country still afford another war without significant adverse effects?Lets hope Libya will not be another Iraq .

The Wright Brothers – American Aviators

The History Of Airplanes

The ease with which birds roam the friendly skies has always been envied by mankind. The dream to be able to take off to the skies is presumably as old as mankind itself. However, the concept of an aeroplane or airplane is still fairly new in our society today. The first attempts were efforts to fly just like any birds by attaching feathers to their arms and flapping. It was quite unfortunate that all those attempts were unsuccessful. Flapping wings were a brilliant idea to lift light bodied birds. However, they simply did not have the power required to lift an entire machine and the load of a human body as well. I suppose it was a great concept but could not be executed. According to an article that I read , the first successful air flight was in a hot air balloon. The thing about hot air balloons is that you can not go the way you want. If the wind is blowing west, that means you would have to go west. If the wind is blowing east , meaning you have to go east ,too. During the Civil War hot air balloons were frequently used by the armies to look at enemy troops. But yeah , that shit won’t bring you anywhere as compared to a F-22 Raptor or an Eurofighters . While this experiment succeeded in getting off the ground literally it did not go very far either. It was only in 1799, that an Englishman named Sir George Cayley built the first true airplane. He conceptualized a flying machine that had fixed wings instead of flapping ones, a propulsion system and even movable control surfaces. Thus, the fundamental concept of airplanes subsequently came into existence. With his emphasis on lift, the thrust and control Cayley designed the first glider in 1804. It only had a single wing and a movable tail mounted on an universal joint. It also had an adjustable center of gravity and was the first ever aircraft of any size capable of flying. He then tried to expand the glider concept and built a man-sized one with wings spanning 300 feet. A few hops were all it could manage. While Cayley was working on his glider there were others too who were figuring exactly to fly. Another good example of an aspiring plane inventor is William S. Henson. All these ideas that they came up with only managed brief glides. In fact , the numerous experiments had also caused many deaths and accidents such as Samuel Langley who flew a steam powered plane and very sadly crashed into a lake. Some of the projects were foiled in the attempt of building an airplane as too much funds were spent and many people in those time never believed that flying was unattainable. Out of so many attempts , I think that only the Wright Brothers were the first people to successfully fly a plane with a person in it. The plane flew one hundred twenty feet and flew only about twelve seconds. The Wright Brothers eventually created a plane that could fly for more that one and a half hours in 1908.THEY MADE AVIATION HISTORY!!!

Orville And Wilbur Wright
Wilbur and Orville Wright’s contributions to aviation were among the most important in our century. Most importantly it all began in their childhoods. The invention was first thought of hundreds of years ago, but look how long it took us to get our arses on the A380 and the B747 now.Orville and Wilbur Wright, had realized one of mankind’s earliest dreams , they actually flew. Although gliders were in existence, the Wright brothers made the world’s first successful sustained and controlled flight of a motor-driven aircraft, the culmination of years of experimentation gliders and kites. The Wright household was indeed a very stimulating place for the children. The Wright brothers grew up in an environment where there was always a lot of encouragement to children to pursue intellectual interests and also to investigate whatever aroused curiosity.Wilbur was the third son and Orville was the fourth one in the family. On their 11th's birthday , their father who appeared to be a bishop , bought them a toy helicopter. The toy 'helicopter' was nowhere closer to the ones we normally see in the modern days , it was made of paper and wood. That was the time when their interest in flying was sparkled. That toy helicopter ignited a high interest in them for the hidden world of aviation , and ultimately putting mankind to fly in the sky. Before enrolling into aviation business Orville started a printing business when he was in high school. He used a small printing machine to publish a newspaper. He sold copies of the newspaper to the other children in school. However , but he did not earn much money from the project.Wilbur offered some advice to his younger brother. ''Make the printing press bigger and publish a bigger newspaper'' , he said. They eventually designed and built one. The machine looked peculiar yet it worked perfectly. Soon, Orville and Wilbur began publishing a weekly newspaper. They were finally earning money. Wilbur was 25 years old and Orville 21 when they began selling and repair bicycles. They then began to make them. At the same time , it was difficult for the Wright brothers to get flying machines off their minds.Wilbur decided to learn about all the different kinds of flying machines that had been designed and tested through the years. The Wright brothers constantly read everything they could about people who tried to sail through the air under huge balloons. They also read about people who tried to fly on gliders , winged planes without motors and such. That was the time both of them started their journey , they began to design their own flying machine. They used the ideas they had developed from their earlier experiments with combinations of the toy helicopter, printing machines , kites and bicycles. The Wright brothers tested a glider that could carry a person in 1900. However , neither the first or second glider they built had the lifting power needed for real flight.Wilbur and Orville came to realise that what they had read about air pressure on curved surfaces was a mistake. So they built a wind tunnel two meters long in their bicycle store in Dayton, Ohio. They tested more than two hundred designs of wings. These tests gave them the correct information about air pressure on curved surfaces , and that had made it possible for them to design a machine that could fly. After all the hardwork , patience , sacrifices and determination they built more powerful engines and flew better airplanes. When Orville and Wilbur Wright succeeded in flying their planes at Kitty Hawk , North Carolina. They sent a telegram to their sister in Ohio , telling her of their great accomplishment. It read , ''First sustained flight today fifty-nine seconds.Hope to be home by christmas''.Their sister , excited by the news , rushed to the local newspapers office and gave the telegram to the editor to report on it.The next day , the newspaper headline that graced the paper said , ''Popular Local Bicycle Merchants to be Home for Holidays!'' How could the editor miss the real news. Their success was suprisingly unknown. Most people were still sceptical of flying was possible. It was almost five years before the Wright brothers became famous. In 1908, Wilbur went to France to show their skills. He gave demonstration flights at heights of ninety meters. A French company agreed to begin making the Wright brothers flying machine.Orville made successful flights in the United States while Wilbur was in France.Quickly and expectedly both of them became heroes as news about it were spread all across the globe. They returned to Dayton , Ohio where they continued to improve their airplanes and taught many others how to fly.Later , they managed to built their first warplane for the US military. They dedicated their whole lifes to ensure the success of planes.I genuinely salute them for what they had done.

Airplane Development And Travel Today
Today, the Wright brother's  first airplane is in the Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. Visitors to the museum can look at the Wright brothers small plane with its cloth wings, wooden controls , tiny engines and other small components. Airplane travel has improved significantly since the first efforts of the Wright Brothers. In the modern world , it’s getting more and more convenient for people to get from one place to another. Our pilots and aircraft engineers are getting more and more efficient and professional and made flying completely safe. Airplanes now can easily travel thousands of miles at altitudes of more than 7 miles, carrying over three hundred passengers. Those passengers rest in comfortable seats instead of on their stomachs like the Wright brothers did. Jet engines have replaced propellers and speeds are greater than 600 miles per hour. Not even the Wright brothers could have imagined what air travel would be like today. They'll probably freak out!

Julian Assange's Wikileaks : The Internet Whistle-blower

Celebrities exposed, rich people exposed , politicians exposed, everyone’s exposed. This is a very common scenario these days. There was a time when nobody used to bother on these things but that is definitely not that case today. It seems that people are eagerly and anxiously waiting for such things to happen. Well, I do not belong to any such category but yes one thing that has really caught off my attention these days is the phenomenal , one and the only super duper awesome WIKILEAKS.Here are some simple facts about Julian Assange, founder of the WikiLeaks website, which is dedicated to leaking confidential information to the public.Julian Assange is an Australian who had already got his grey hair at a young age.He began his hacking life at the age of 16 and did other crazy computer stuff and was eventually nabbed for several times.Mr Assange is a role model for all of us who wish to increase transparency in all aspects of public/government/corporate life. His amazing website is a true refuge for whistle-blowers as well as an unusual (in this day and age) beacon of fact-based minimalist journalism. Furthermore, it must be noted that Mr. Assange is truly a defiantly courageous individual and, irrespective of what many Americans (and perhaps others--I can't speak for them) are currently being led to believe, he can NOT be called a "terrorist" as personally i think he's harmed no one and has made no threats of any kind to do so.In my opinion , I think never once in the history before that someone has created any site created such profound impact the way this Wikileaks seems to have done. But my question is , why do people ( mostly journalist ) hate Julian Assange so much?Is it because he is foreign? Is it because he is not an European? He is only trying to reveal what politicians have been saying all along about the lies we are being told. Why would the left hate him?Personally I don't hate him. I think people are under the misconception that Assange is Wikileaks, he isn't. Wikileaks is a news "corporation" same as any other and they are meant to report news to us. Assange is just the spokesperson for that company, Wikileaks will not stop and still will be remained even if Assange is not around. Some say that Wikileaks are selective about what they expose, but hey any information is better than no information.Assange’s position has always been rife with ironies. Are the journalists jealous of him for outdoing them and betraying this country or they're afraid to get caught up in the witch hunt?In my view , Assange is purely concerned with TRUTH something America and many other governments all across the world lost many years ago.Perhaps that political leaders such as Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Sarah Palin are just symptoms of a broken unethical system that people lot still believe in.The media now hate Assange most likely because he made their hero, Obama, look ridiculous. The hypocrisy of U.S stance on keeping world peace is to ensure the world retains 'freedom of speech' but it is slowly becoming more like 'political correctness' more and more everyday.Lately , the US has been increasingly paranoid about the rise of power in china and how china is going to be the biggest economy in time to come. They called the former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd a 'control freak' and it seems that Gillard is standing on their side.I literally find it as a funny joke like isnt that what they are? Some people call him a coward , well maybe a little , as he's always running away and that is far from being a true activist who really wants change would stand up and fight for it.Isn't it so obvious that when governments worldwide start to attack an individual and try to rubbish that persons name, that feel endangered, under attack by the truth. We as the people have a right to know the underhand dealings of our governments , the very people so called 'public servants' who work for us as we voted for them and without us they are literally nothing. There are people in the world who are easy to like, and also some who are easy to hate.I guess Julian Assange is the most despised man in the US .Furthermore , many conservatives are now not only calling for Assange's arrest, but for his death with or without a trial. Is that threat only reserved for people like Saddam Hussein?Assange doesn’t really have a home.He travels all the time , he's on the run not just from U.S. authorities, but from pretty much all western governments in the world. He’s not a terrorist in the sense that he does not hijack planes and crash it into a building. Here’s a good example. Assange’s release of confidential data will not, as part of the action itself, kill anyone. After all, all he’s doing is copying a pile of files up to a server. But, once certain people get a hold of that data, they’ll get names of confidential informants, for example, and then go hunt down and kill those people.I think there is a small element of terrorism , it just works a little differently.I think there is a bad side and a good side of Wikileaks.I admire what he and others have done to keep us in touch with what is going on in the underworld. It gives us a better opportunity to look at politicians a lot more closely. He told us things we need to know about these underworld characters who call themselves very noble politicians. We can now chose who we trust and who we don't trust. I don't fully trust America, and he has proven I was right.

30 Years In Government : Hosni Mubarak

It was absolutely a historic moment in Egypt's history - Hosni Mubarak finally stepped down after 30 years as the Egypt's president on Friday. His resignation as president of Egypt has been greeted with a huge outburst of joy by thousands of egyptions in Cairo's Tahrir Square. It's evident that this old man has caused many troubles to the country. The Egyptians has always wanted to have the opportunity to speak in the government. But if you really opposed him, he would torture you like mad , or even send you to jail.Don't you think that's too absurd? He would sometimes send his people to jail for no good and valid reason. It's a shame that many people suffered economically and socially, and they have no rights. It seems like most of the arab presidents are dictators , and the people are just too afraid of them.Plus one thing for sure that roughly 45 million people ( that is more than half of egypts population) lives on less than 2 dollers a day and obviously that's a pain in the ass.To my surprise , he was quite poor when he took office but now he and is family own 50-70 billion dollars. How did he get so much money?Mubarak, of course, was a military man , but not a businessman. I know he was in government for many years but how possibly can he be that filthy rich? Don't you think that it's just strange that his people couldnt even affored simple deprivations such as food while he can have billions of dollers? That sounds more like sheer corruption to me.Also , he does not deserve to keep all those money while his people are starving there.Although Mubarak had been working on a set of economic reforms, they stalled during the global recession. The chronic lack of jobs and upward mobility was perhaps the biggest factor driving millions of enraged Egyptian youths into the streets, demanding for a change. This fellow had seriously caused a huge mess in egypt man.Make no mistake that the massive and unprecedented demonstration for Mubarak resignation has caught people's attention all across the world. It's a topic that most newspaper would have it on their front page.Leading up to the protests , it's saddening that many casualties and 365 deaths were being reported leaving their loved ones behind during the riot and many students/workers from abroad were sent back to their own countries. However , the opposition members in tandem with the egyptians had tried their very best to make Mubarak step down. They fought with tens of thousands of extremely violent police,it was an excruciating and hectic process , they probably turned violent too. I think it's safe to say that I'm glad that the Vice President had announced that Mubarak stepped down as president and turning power over to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces on February 11.But still will Egypt be better even after a new government?I hope there will be an important opportunity at this moment in time to implement political, economic and social reforms to respond to the rightful needs and interests of the Egyptian people.

Doctors or Pilots?

There is no denying that pilots and doctors can be considered as two noble , very saluting professions in the world. But the question is , who is a professional and who's more like one?Right now i shall be sharing my opinions on both of these respective professions .If you are willing to take look at the dictionary and search for the word ' professional ' you would surely see that 'professional' defines as any paid occupation, especially one that involves special training and a formal qualification ( unless your's is screwed). In that case are we likely to involve sly , merciless , unscrupulous and devious businessman , incompetent and fucked up judges , corrupted politicians , computer hackers who are filthy rich and making a whole lot of money than docs/pilots as a profession? These people can easily become millionares in just a tad. It's quite probable that they are one of the highest paid and richest professions in the entire world. Are huge and massive earners in some of these categories, professionals, or are they very professional in their jobs? Others use deceitful means to make a living? Then what would you reckon about bank robbers , frauds , gamblers, hired killers, and mafias , some who are paid for doing their jobs. Are they really professionals too? From my perspective , I think people who tend to work diligently, ethically , responsibly, and caringly, irrespectively his salary or income is a true professional.Firefighters who lost their lives during the 911 incident can be a very good example.Solicitors/Lawyers are considered professionals , but I think they are the worse of all the professions ( not all of them are bad). They twist and turn, manipulate people and argue with their tongues and tell lies in court to defend a criminal in court until the murderer / criminal is free, because he is paid to do this job. Some corrupted judges or lawyers who have close connection with the person in power will certainly win the court as they'll write out a judgement that worths millions for the presiding Judge ( unless they turn into angels ).Ocassionally these session courts can be said as 'shotgun' sessions , because the decision has already been made , doesnt really matter whether you're innoncent or guilty. The judge would probably do some acting and waste some time (<- haha ).The fellow with deep pockets will definitely win the arguement , it sounds stupid but it's just the truth. This is a very obvious example of public opinion of this disgraceful legal and judiciary professions.

It's really unbelievable , weird and sometimes unfair that arts graduate do better in life than science students. My parents used to tell me how admiring it was to be a university students way back in the days ( Very Lan Yeng Ah ).As long you're a university student , getting excellent results at  school,  your future will be bright regardless of the course you take hence those students would just simply get a degree and think they're top-notch.Being a doctor , science teacher , lecturer has always been the first choice in those times , and the female's parents would always encourage their daughter to marry doctors and such.Surprisingly , there were a few individuals that did not do as well in secondary schools , got rejected by their universities , went into college and studied professional accountancy programmes like ACCA and as a result , they do much better in life.On the top of that, they have more time for themselves , friends and more family time. They also have the time to pursue other things more interesting and enjoyable, such as hobbies and things they love to do in life.Businessman go out to public and do marketing , while chemist rot in the lab mixing chemicals ( having knowledge in both will always be an advantage ).However they both still contribute to the society so i highly respect both of these professions.

It is very miserable life if a doctor or a pilot has a family. A doctor working in a big and busy hospital scarcely has time for his family. It is a very stressful and unrewarding job. What's even worse , a doctor being called back to work while he's on his way back home to celebrate chinese new year. Most doctors especially those who working in government sectors are being treated like shit , receiving low pay and exploited most of the time no matter what our qualifications and skills ( what kind of life is that ?).Many of the doctors regretted for choosing this career path.I think that explains why the top brains would rather choose to work abroad. The government has been trying to lure them back but it's still not working.I hate it how government doctors do tend to take their sweet time , not seeming to bother about a patients surviving possiblity , they just let them die. Why? Their salary still runs , and they dont feel appreciated. They just try to get rid of the patients whereas private hospitals want more patients for business. On the other hand , pilots arent any better too.I guess pilots suffer just like doctors when they have to fly here and there all the time, leaving their love ones behind for a long period of time ( that means less sex ).As a pilot , you have hundreds of lives sitting behind you and counting on you to land safely to their destinations in the most assuring , possible and fastest way.How dramatic that is! Both of these profession requires strong immunity , strong and stable mentality as they have to deal with night shifts such as on-calls and night flights.I think leaving my family for a long time would be the most painful thing for me. Of course , there isnt a perfect job in the world.

They are far too many complaints about these doctors. Not many people trust doctors graduating from some local public universities, and many of other doctors coming from poor countries where students go to study at a very cheap price. They don't seem to know anything even after graduation ( what the crap ).I'm not sure about other countries but it's a shame that students in Malaysia who flunk all of their subjects are still able to become doctors. As a result they start killing people in hospitals while they're at work.I read a funny and shocking news about a doctor who just graduated from some Russian medical school that can't even measure a patient's blood pressure , oh bother even my grandmother knows how to do it. I personally do not think it is very charitable or noble if a doctor simply charges poor patients who can hardly afford health care. For instance , an old and ill woman being chased away from hospital as she did not have sufficient money to pay.Is that professional?I think that medicine is no longer a noble and caring profession as it used to be.It's unfortunate that most doctors are too lazy, or academically not competent enough to understand highly specialized technical languages used in research papers. They cannot even understand what's going on even in their own areas of medical sciences. Neither do they want to keep themselves up-to-date with the latest advances , how pathetic. Is studying all they know how to do?Doctors live a very tough life , some of them barely get patients everyday. Many of them struggled a lot.Nowadays you can meet one clinic at every street corner. There are so many of them competing with each other these days. I guess life should be better for them when they get their specialist , and start working at private hospitals? But really i think the government should do something about it.Passion is one thing but how's a doctor going to put all their attention in their jobs if they're not paid efficiently? Now i'm not trying to imply that doctors aren't good and highly skilled , i've seen seasoned specialists conducting really epic surgeries such as heart bypass and all those stuff.

Both doctors and pilots have highly responsible jobs. You've gotta make sure that everything goes nicely and smoothly. They both are quite similar as they deal with lives. You might need one of them if end of the world really comes. And of course they're a man thing. But make no mistake that the responsibility rest on a pilot is much higher. That's because if a doctor or a surgeon makes a mistake only one person - that's only that patient's life is affected. But if a pilot makes a gross mistake , doing an insane act or is irresponsible in his job, the entire plane fill with hundreds of passengers lives will be in jeorpady , including the pilot itself. So in my opinion , a pilot responsibility in ensuring safety for so many lives is much higher. My elder brother will be doing Bachelor of Medicine , Bachelor of Surgery at MONASH univeristy in a couple of weeks and i fully support him.Sometimes when it comes to work it's about the passion  , doing the things you like and not just about the the money. It's certainly not easy to be a doctor/pilot , its really tough life. But bear in mind that there will always be pros and cons in every profession , life's not easy.Still i would rather choose to be a pilot as i love to fly , i get paid well , lots of traveling and wear really cool aviator clothes.I find the job really challenging and fun.LONG LIVE PILOTS!
