Doctors or Pilots?

There is no denying that pilots and doctors can be considered as two noble , very saluting professions in the world. But the question is , who is a professional and who's more like one?Right now i shall be sharing my opinions on both of these respective professions .If you are willing to take look at the dictionary and search for the word ' professional ' you would surely see that 'professional' defines as any paid occupation, especially one that involves special training and a formal qualification ( unless your's is screwed). In that case are we likely to involve sly , merciless , unscrupulous and devious businessman , incompetent and fucked up judges , corrupted politicians , computer hackers who are filthy rich and making a whole lot of money than docs/pilots as a profession? These people can easily become millionares in just a tad. It's quite probable that they are one of the highest paid and richest professions in the entire world. Are huge and massive earners in some of these categories, professionals, or are they very professional in their jobs? Others use deceitful means to make a living? Then what would you reckon about bank robbers , frauds , gamblers, hired killers, and mafias , some who are paid for doing their jobs. Are they really professionals too? From my perspective , I think people who tend to work diligently, ethically , responsibly, and caringly, irrespectively his salary or income is a true professional.Firefighters who lost their lives during the 911 incident can be a very good example.Solicitors/Lawyers are considered professionals , but I think they are the worse of all the professions ( not all of them are bad). They twist and turn, manipulate people and argue with their tongues and tell lies in court to defend a criminal in court until the murderer / criminal is free, because he is paid to do this job. Some corrupted judges or lawyers who have close connection with the person in power will certainly win the court as they'll write out a judgement that worths millions for the presiding Judge ( unless they turn into angels ).Ocassionally these session courts can be said as 'shotgun' sessions , because the decision has already been made , doesnt really matter whether you're innoncent or guilty. The judge would probably do some acting and waste some time (<- haha ).The fellow with deep pockets will definitely win the arguement , it sounds stupid but it's just the truth. This is a very obvious example of public opinion of this disgraceful legal and judiciary professions.

It's really unbelievable , weird and sometimes unfair that arts graduate do better in life than science students. My parents used to tell me how admiring it was to be a university students way back in the days ( Very Lan Yeng Ah ).As long you're a university student , getting excellent results at  school,  your future will be bright regardless of the course you take hence those students would just simply get a degree and think they're top-notch.Being a doctor , science teacher , lecturer has always been the first choice in those times , and the female's parents would always encourage their daughter to marry doctors and such.Surprisingly , there were a few individuals that did not do as well in secondary schools , got rejected by their universities , went into college and studied professional accountancy programmes like ACCA and as a result , they do much better in life.On the top of that, they have more time for themselves , friends and more family time. They also have the time to pursue other things more interesting and enjoyable, such as hobbies and things they love to do in life.Businessman go out to public and do marketing , while chemist rot in the lab mixing chemicals ( having knowledge in both will always be an advantage ).However they both still contribute to the society so i highly respect both of these professions.

It is very miserable life if a doctor or a pilot has a family. A doctor working in a big and busy hospital scarcely has time for his family. It is a very stressful and unrewarding job. What's even worse , a doctor being called back to work while he's on his way back home to celebrate chinese new year. Most doctors especially those who working in government sectors are being treated like shit , receiving low pay and exploited most of the time no matter what our qualifications and skills ( what kind of life is that ?).Many of the doctors regretted for choosing this career path.I think that explains why the top brains would rather choose to work abroad. The government has been trying to lure them back but it's still not working.I hate it how government doctors do tend to take their sweet time , not seeming to bother about a patients surviving possiblity , they just let them die. Why? Their salary still runs , and they dont feel appreciated. They just try to get rid of the patients whereas private hospitals want more patients for business. On the other hand , pilots arent any better too.I guess pilots suffer just like doctors when they have to fly here and there all the time, leaving their love ones behind for a long period of time ( that means less sex ).As a pilot , you have hundreds of lives sitting behind you and counting on you to land safely to their destinations in the most assuring , possible and fastest way.How dramatic that is! Both of these profession requires strong immunity , strong and stable mentality as they have to deal with night shifts such as on-calls and night flights.I think leaving my family for a long time would be the most painful thing for me. Of course , there isnt a perfect job in the world.

They are far too many complaints about these doctors. Not many people trust doctors graduating from some local public universities, and many of other doctors coming from poor countries where students go to study at a very cheap price. They don't seem to know anything even after graduation ( what the crap ).I'm not sure about other countries but it's a shame that students in Malaysia who flunk all of their subjects are still able to become doctors. As a result they start killing people in hospitals while they're at work.I read a funny and shocking news about a doctor who just graduated from some Russian medical school that can't even measure a patient's blood pressure , oh bother even my grandmother knows how to do it. I personally do not think it is very charitable or noble if a doctor simply charges poor patients who can hardly afford health care. For instance , an old and ill woman being chased away from hospital as she did not have sufficient money to pay.Is that professional?I think that medicine is no longer a noble and caring profession as it used to be.It's unfortunate that most doctors are too lazy, or academically not competent enough to understand highly specialized technical languages used in research papers. They cannot even understand what's going on even in their own areas of medical sciences. Neither do they want to keep themselves up-to-date with the latest advances , how pathetic. Is studying all they know how to do?Doctors live a very tough life , some of them barely get patients everyday. Many of them struggled a lot.Nowadays you can meet one clinic at every street corner. There are so many of them competing with each other these days. I guess life should be better for them when they get their specialist , and start working at private hospitals? But really i think the government should do something about it.Passion is one thing but how's a doctor going to put all their attention in their jobs if they're not paid efficiently? Now i'm not trying to imply that doctors aren't good and highly skilled , i've seen seasoned specialists conducting really epic surgeries such as heart bypass and all those stuff.

Both doctors and pilots have highly responsible jobs. You've gotta make sure that everything goes nicely and smoothly. They both are quite similar as they deal with lives. You might need one of them if end of the world really comes. And of course they're a man thing. But make no mistake that the responsibility rest on a pilot is much higher. That's because if a doctor or a surgeon makes a mistake only one person - that's only that patient's life is affected. But if a pilot makes a gross mistake , doing an insane act or is irresponsible in his job, the entire plane fill with hundreds of passengers lives will be in jeorpady , including the pilot itself. So in my opinion , a pilot responsibility in ensuring safety for so many lives is much higher. My elder brother will be doing Bachelor of Medicine , Bachelor of Surgery at MONASH univeristy in a couple of weeks and i fully support him.Sometimes when it comes to work it's about the passion  , doing the things you like and not just about the the money. It's certainly not easy to be a doctor/pilot , its really tough life. But bear in mind that there will always be pros and cons in every profession , life's not easy.Still i would rather choose to be a pilot as i love to fly , i get paid well , lots of traveling and wear really cool aviator clothes.I find the job really challenging and fun.LONG LIVE PILOTS!

Communism VS Capitalism

Capitalism
  1. production factors are owned by the public
  2. the government does not really interfere in the economy
  3. wide range of choices
  4. practices price mechanism
  5. very competitive
  6. motive to make really huge profit
  7. income distributions are not equal
  8. freedom

Communism
  1. production factors are owned by the government
  2. the government interferes completely in the economy
  3. not many choices
  4. does not practice price mechanism
  5. not really competitive in markets
  6. provides social welfare
  7. income distributions are equal
  8. not much freedom

It's clear that Capitalism and Communism does not go together. They are both very different politically and economically. To make it simple , Communism stands for equal sharing of work, according to the ability and benefits. However in capitalism, an individual is fully responsible for his works and lets say if he wants to make really big money and get filthy rich or get promoted that fellow has to work hard ( maybe some connection with the government ).Communism stands for a class less society, which does not see any difference between the rich and the poor. On the other hand, capitalism divides the society into rich and poor , when sometimes the richer get richer and the poorer get poorer.I really hate dictatorship. So which is better?

Some people might say that look , China's growing really fast and rapid. But not one to talk when most of china people still lives in poverty.China is growing rapidly, but hows the distribution of income? In comparison , the standard of living is much greater in western civilization. They have better occupational health and safety measures, welfare payments for people who are out of work. However , Capitalism can be said to be the exploitation of  an individual. While every one is equal in communism, there is a massive divide of the class in capitalism.Richer people lives in big cities and get all the money , comparatively poor people that cant afford to live in big cities , live in very poor conditions.Apparently in America , a terminally ill old nanny got chased away from the hospital because she had no money to pay.People over in china when they were constructing the olympics thingy died because they were made to clean out the waters with no masks or anything and as a result people die there all the time from all the pollution. To draw a conclusion , I don't think there is a perfect solution to any political or economic system. We can't expect everyone to be satisfied.I still insists capitalism works the best , in communism there's no incentive to work harder than anyone else , cause you dont get rewarded whereas in capitalism people work harder in hope they have a better wage.

Should Gay Marriage Be Allowed?

Alright today i will be sharing my thoughts on gay marriage.Adam Lambert is gay , Elton John is gay with a son.Barack Obama and Ted Kennedy supports it ,The Australian Government supports it , the incumbent finance minister for Australia Penny Wong is gay , John Mccain opposed it and was boo-ed by the crowd , the Vatican City launched a new initiative opposing gay marriage. If we look back in histories , the kings and high ranking people were believed to have connections with God , and they were highly religious.Homosexuality was prohibited from religious rituals, while they were allowed to marry and live equal, normal lives under the first Christian Emperor. Personally , i wouldnt make religion interfere or if i might say be part of my rullings.I believe that politics , economy and social should not be tied up with religion.Quite rightly , as a public activitist and a politician they are all believed to be the people's servants not masters. It is of course , in democratic countries , we're supposed to have freedom for all.Seeing as how the presidential elections are well under way, gay marriage will most likely become an issue again.I don’t think it comes as any surprise to the lesbian and gay community that christians are strongly againts gay marriage. How convenient is it to say you dont believe in God and sin as much as you like. Before i get on my way , i would like say that i deeply respect anyone who's gay , anyone who does not believe in god or supports gay marriage.I dont want to hurt anyone. It's a combination of many reasons , but there are people out there who supports gay marriage and I simply dont know why. Traditionally, marriage has been between a man and a woman, and im certain there are many people who want to keep it that tradition.Yes, by right marriage should be about loving, supportive, nurturing relationships, and these relationships are not gender dependence. The world has chosen to accept all manner of things as normal and acceptable, but the Bible still describes homosexuality as a sin. Some people might say that God gave us brains when we were born , and it is scientifically proven that homos have something wrong with their brains, why isnt God allowing human to be gay?It is because we're all given the freedom to choose to do what's right and making our own choices. To some people , being gay is breaking God's law.In my opinion , being gay breaks both God's and Nature's law.How would the innoncent children feel if they realized their parents are gay , and making them realizing that being gay is perfectly normal , and seeing are more gay marriages than normal marriages in the future?Marriage is a commitment between a male and a female. The main fact is that children need dedicated and normal parents ,a father and a mother.Any concept of marriage is just second rate.

My Trip To Turkey

Can i just start off by saying that I love every single fact of Turkey ,especially Istanbul , from the grandiose , beautiful and majestic mosques to the gregarious people.  I would like to thank my mum, for recommending this place and of course giving me money to visit Turkey as she made a pact with me to do so.Culturally, Turkey is in numerous ways 'caught' between Europe and Asia.I can honestly say it was difficult for me to distinguish Turkey as an european or asian country. It is a predominantly Islamic country but it is a secular state.I liked the how they disallow religion to intervene in their government rullings , whereby economy , social and politics have nothing to do with religion. To Istanbul, Edirne, Adrianople have a slightly European 'feel' whereas Eastern Anatolia is completely different and quite similar to Asia.It was my first time to visit such a unique country so i was really excited. In Turkey , not many of them speak English but my tour guide was pro at it as he told us he had a beautiful british women to teach him english way back in the days, his english test results went down after she left him , poor Barish.I visited Turkey on late december , so surely it was freezing. If i am correct it was like about 2 degrees celcius and in the beginning i could not adapt to the cold weather. It wasnt actually that bad , it was icy cold because of the humidity. However ,as i was travelling to different parts of turkey the weather just started to get better and better.I am deeply in love with Turkish history.I learned tons about turkey like the ottomans empire , turkish tradition and culture , Islamic history and stories regarding world war 1 throughout the trip.I managed to see jewelleries owned by the Sultans last time not sure if its real stuff but it was really nice and beautiful anyway,i was a good boy i listened to them and didnt take a single picture in those rooms.I was priviledged to see how the Turks lived in remote areas and i was wondering how they can actually survive as they have not many shops nearby.Petrol Stations and roadside shops were all around the place but i could hardly see anybody.Isolated and far away stalls and restaurants without customers.I reckon that we should be grateful for the comfortable life that we have.Ocassionally in life we can have nothing that goes our way , and the downs would outnumber the ups , but it's essential for us not to give up and appreciate what we have , that's my point of view. They need tourist , people like us,quite frankly it was gratifying for being able to help their economy. The Turkish people are in general really nice and sincere to foreigners notwithstanding that they don't really speak English .They are very helpful and will do as much as possible to assist you.At first i thought Turkey would just be like other middle-eastern country but it was way beyond my expectation.I was touched and impressed by the warmth welcome provided by the Turks.I like the fact that national service is compulsory for turkish guys.If you're a turkish male and has not gone through the national service process , you might not be employed as you could be called back to national service out of the blue and that'll be really troublesome. So ideally you have to complete the whole process and if u wish to extand your service you might get promoted and have a higher ranking. The soldiers that i saw in the Artaturk Mausoleum in Ankara were really cool and tall, and what's more surprising , the guards with walkie-talkie inside the mausoleum were even taller , i always thought being 5'11 tall could make me tower everyone but i was wrong when i came here , but i am satisfied with my height as i already have an average height of an american male , i wouldnt want to be overly excessively tall , i would look awful.Turkish women and men are really beautiful but it seemed like they love to waste food.I love Mediterranean food but i eat the same thing everyday , my mum gave me the permission to try some raki and i loved it.Furthermore , the three interesting things I learned about Turks are that they have a habit of drinking raki after dinner , dont take coffee with their meals and treat turkish delights as their snack. They also put water bottles on their roofs to indicate their wish to get married.Turkish delight tastes really good. It's a famous turkish treat made of starch.Rose flavour is one of my favourites but it's too sweet so i'll refrain myself from eating too many of them and drinks lots of water to sort of balance it.Turkish people drink tea all the time , apple and pomegranate tea are the most popular ones among them i guess.Experienced snow in cappadocia , saw and fed a whole group of pigeons. The tour guide brought us to the top mountains and the underground city. It's a shame the tiny holes and pathways made me knock my head over and over again. It was entertaining and hilarious forcing the older generation to get pass these pathways first and lead our way.We threatened them and deliberately called them the 'young generation',they were struggling in a funny way.I was fascinated by how bold and creative these ancient people were , knowing the technology werent that good over the past few centuries.I was gonna try hot air balloning with a whole group of foreigners in Cappadocia but unfortunately i missed it.It was too foggy and misty in view of winter season. It was a painful decision to leave the place though. But i had to move on.One of the best highlights in Turkey are Blue Mosque , Topkapi Palace , Ephesus , Pergamon , Izmir , Troy and also some weird carbon monoxide limestone watery stuff in Pamukalle where we stayed in a thermal hotel nearby call Lycus River.I made a visit to Grand Bazaar, spice market and some shopping centers. It's true that they have roughly 4000 shops but they sell almost the same thing.Besides that , it was an excellent opportunity to see Asena and some belly dancing on my last night in Istanbul where i also enjoyed my dinner.Basically i travelled half of Turkey , a total of 2700 kilometers.I didnt manage to travel to the eastern part of Turkey because we had a paucity of time.My mum bought some turkish delights , some turkish lamp , spices , carpets , souvenirs and poetries in Turkey. We took a private boat on the last day of our trip and cruised in Istanbul ,went passed a nice bridge and i felt like i was in San Francisco. Also , i saw many beautiful sceneries , pigeons and boats along the way , it was a terrific end to my visit.Admittedly , I was totally upset that i didnt get to celebrate christmas in Turkey , considering that they dont celebrate Christmas at all.But they were really good to me , which is something i should be grateful for.The 10 days trip in Turkey was amazing and enriching , the historical buildings , muslim civilization and the stories behind it were simply unforgettable.I am in love with ottoman classical music.I will definitely miss this place.Hoscakal !!!

Visit From A Friend

Several months ago my buddy Jeremiah came all the way from the United States to visit my family .He was here for approximately a month to spend his summer holidays and at the same time an internship at some tv production company arranged by his dad.My family and I brought him out for dinner and he managed to get his first taste of durian. He was completely broke most of the time and was exploited by his company but still managed to survive with two bucks , highly commendable.I know he had horrendous internet connection and had all his music downloads screwed up so i congratulate him for being back in Hong Kong. This year will be his final year in Hong Kong International School so i hope he does well in his studies.I wish him and his family well and his grandmother hale and hearty.Very soon i hope that someday we will meet again in United States and watch the Lakers play together.
