I can't remember exactly how long I've never traveled to Malacca. Probably about 4-5 years? I don't know what's happening to my family but it seems like we are having hardcore local trips this year. This time, I met up with relatives who live just 45 minutes away from Malacca. They've been here tonnes, so they offered us a tour around the city. It was a simple trip, just 2 days 1 night, however it was quite a memorable one. I think it's family bonding that really matters right? To me this trip was more of a foodie trip because we spent most of our time eating in jonkers street. To my surprise, there were many foreigners, more than you could imagine. Way more compared to Japan, I guess this is just the sort of places they like right? Very hectic, very large crowd, and i was barely moving cause there were too many people around, especially in those areas where lion dances and wushu performances were performed. Was even told that one of the performers represented Malaysia in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. All those stuff really brought back the feel of chinese new year. Malacca is one of our historic states i love and treasure. It's great to see how Malacca has developed right now. With new buildings coming up, tourist attractions, hospitals and schools being upgraded. Thank goodness our GPS led us the right way! By the way, I still insists that Japan has the best hot spring ever :3
