Why do people give up on life?

Why do people give up on life that easily? In today's climate, it is very common to see news about suicides, they are always at the front page. It's true to say that life does not go your way all the time, I've experienced extreme sadness and frustration before but i know at the end of the day, those dark skies will go and the bright skies will come. There's an article i read about a boy who committed suicide as he failed to a chase his crush. To my surprise, he was brought up in a well-off family, apparently he owned a BMW sports car worth half a million, his dad is a plastic surgeon, probably a multimillionaire, but that dude is dead now. Quite stupid right? People are cycling to hospitals and get their treatment, fighting for their lives, and he did this kind of thing. One thing I've learnt about life, and told by most people is that there's always somebody doing worse than you. When I look at it that way, I feel much better. Come on, live for yourself, why die for a girl who doesn't like you at all? LIFE IS GREAT MAN! There are so many girls out there! The second thing I've learnt about life is that it isn't easy. Surely there will be challenges ahead of you, but only dead people will not have challenges. So what if you failed your studies, so what if u are rejected from your favorite university, so what if your partner broke up with you, DO OTHER THINGS LA!!! Life is interesting, go get a tour guide license, maybe open up a small business. If you finish your own life, no one can save you, except for God. Start a new positive life in a new direction, or perhaps get a religion. Appreciate your life, as it can not be repeated. Overcome the sadness! You can do it! Sayonara!
