There is no denying that pilots and doctors can be considered as two noble , very saluting professions in the world. But the question is , who is a professional and who's more like one?Right now i shall be sharing my opinions on both of these respective professions .If you are willing to take look at the dictionary and search for the word ' professional ' you would surely see that 'professional' defines as any paid occupation, especially one that involves special training and a formal qualification ( unless your's is screwed). In that case are we likely to involve sly , merciless , unscrupulous and devious businessman , incompetent and fucked up judges , corrupted politicians , computer hackers who are filthy rich and making a whole lot of money than docs/pilots as a profession? These people can easily become millionares in just a tad. It's quite probable that they are one of the highest paid and richest professions in the entire world. Are huge and massive earners in some of these categories, professionals, or are they very professional in their jobs? Others use deceitful means to make a living? Then what would you reckon about bank robbers , frauds , gamblers, hired killers, and mafias , some who are paid for doing their jobs. Are they really professionals too? From my perspective , I think people who tend to work diligently, ethically , responsibly, and caringly, irrespectively his salary or income is a true professional.Firefighters who lost their lives during the 911 incident can be a very good example.Solicitors/Lawyers are considered professionals , but I think they are the worse of all the professions ( not all of them are bad). They twist and turn, manipulate people and argue with their tongues and tell lies in court to defend a criminal in court until the murderer / criminal is free, because he is paid to do this job. Some corrupted judges or lawyers who have close connection with the person in power will certainly win the court as they'll write out a judgement that worths millions for the presiding Judge ( unless they turn into angels ).Ocassionally these session courts can be said as 'shotgun' sessions , because the decision has already been made , doesnt really matter whether you're innoncent or guilty. The judge would probably do some acting and waste some time (<- haha ).The fellow with deep pockets will definitely win the arguement , it sounds stupid but it's just the truth. This is a very obvious example of public opinion of this disgraceful legal and judiciary professions.
It's really unbelievable , weird and sometimes unfair that arts graduate do better in life than science students. My parents used to tell me how admiring it was to be a university students way back in the days ( Very Lan Yeng Ah ).As long you're a university student , getting excellent results at school, your future will be bright regardless of the course you take hence those students would just simply get a degree and think they're top-notch.Being a doctor , science teacher , lecturer has always been the first choice in those times , and the female's parents would always encourage their daughter to marry doctors and such.Surprisingly , there were a few individuals that did not do as well in secondary schools , got rejected by their universities , went into college and studied professional accountancy programmes like ACCA and as a result , they do much better in life.On the top of that, they have more time for themselves , friends and more family time. They also have the time to pursue other things more interesting and enjoyable, such as hobbies and things they love to do in life.Businessman go out to public and do marketing , while chemist rot in the lab mixing chemicals ( having knowledge in both will always be an advantage ).However they both still contribute to the society so i highly respect both of these professions.
It is very miserable life if a doctor or a pilot has a family. A doctor working in a big and busy hospital scarcely has time for his family. It is a very stressful and unrewarding job. What's even worse , a doctor being called back to work while he's on his way back home to celebrate chinese new year. Most doctors especially those who working in government sectors are being treated like shit , receiving low pay and exploited most of the time no matter what our qualifications and skills ( what kind of life is that ?).Many of the doctors regretted for choosing this career path.I think that explains why the top brains would rather choose to work abroad. The government has been trying to lure them back but it's still not working.I hate it how government doctors do tend to take their sweet time , not seeming to bother about a patients surviving possiblity , they just let them die. Why? Their salary still runs , and they dont feel appreciated. They just try to get rid of the patients whereas private hospitals want more patients for business. On the other hand , pilots arent any better too.I guess pilots suffer just like doctors when they have to fly here and there all the time, leaving their love ones behind for a long period of time ( that means less sex ).As a pilot , you have hundreds of lives sitting behind you and counting on you to land safely to their destinations in the most assuring , possible and fastest way.How dramatic that is! Both of these profession requires strong immunity , strong and stable mentality as they have to deal with night shifts such as on-calls and night flights.I think leaving my family for a long time would be the most painful thing for me. Of course , there isnt a perfect job in the world.
They are far too many complaints about these doctors. Not many people trust doctors graduating from some local public universities, and many of other doctors coming from poor countries where students go to study at a very cheap price. They don't seem to know anything even after graduation ( what the crap ).I'm not sure about other countries but it's a shame that students in Malaysia who flunk all of their subjects are still able to become doctors. As a result they start killing people in hospitals while they're at work.I read a funny and shocking news about a doctor who just graduated from some Russian medical school that can't even measure a patient's blood pressure , oh bother even my grandmother knows how to do it. I personally do not think it is very charitable or noble if a doctor simply charges poor patients who can hardly afford health care. For instance , an old and ill woman being chased away from hospital as she did not have sufficient money to pay.Is that professional?I think that medicine is no longer a noble and caring profession as it used to be.It's unfortunate that most doctors are too lazy, or academically not competent enough to understand highly specialized technical languages used in research papers. They cannot even understand what's going on even in their own areas of medical sciences. Neither do they want to keep themselves up-to-date with the latest advances , how pathetic. Is studying all they know how to do?Doctors live a very tough life , some of them barely get patients everyday. Many of them struggled a lot.Nowadays you can meet one clinic at every street corner. There are so many of them competing with each other these days. I guess life should be better for them when they get their specialist , and start working at private hospitals? But really i think the government should do something about it.Passion is one thing but how's a doctor going to put all their attention in their jobs if they're not paid efficiently? Now i'm not trying to imply that doctors aren't good and highly skilled , i've seen seasoned specialists conducting really epic surgeries such as heart bypass and all those stuff.
Both doctors and pilots have highly responsible jobs. You've gotta make sure that everything goes nicely and smoothly. They both are quite similar as they deal with lives. You might need one of them if end of the world really comes. And of course they're a man thing. But make no mistake that the responsibility rest on a pilot is much higher. That's because if a doctor or a surgeon makes a mistake only one person - that's only that patient's life is affected. But if a pilot makes a gross mistake , doing an insane act or is irresponsible in his job, the entire plane fill with hundreds of passengers lives will be in jeorpady , including the pilot itself. So in my opinion , a pilot responsibility in ensuring safety for so many lives is much higher. My elder brother will be doing Bachelor of Medicine , Bachelor of Surgery at MONASH univeristy in a couple of weeks and i fully support him.Sometimes when it comes to work it's about the passion , doing the things you like and not just about the the money. It's certainly not easy to be a doctor/pilot , its really tough life. But bear in mind that there will always be pros and cons in every profession , life's not easy.Still i would rather choose to be a pilot as i love to fly , i get paid well , lots of traveling and wear really cool aviator clothes.I find the job really challenging and fun.LONG LIVE PILOTS!
